Amy Cutler Inspired Mixed Media Triptychs
By Sweet Ridge Studios
School is out and Art is In! Spend your day out of school being creative with us. We’ll make new friends, create beautiful art and spend time playing outside in the gorgeous Colorado sunshine. Every artist has an inner world where anything is possible. In this camp, students will bring their imaginations to life through the timeless art of triptychs. Originating in the Middle Ages, triptychs are three-part paintings, often hinged to open or close, creating a dramatic reveal of worlds within. Inspired by the enchanting portraits of opening faces by contemporary artist Amy Cutler, campers will use mixed media to craft their own portraits that unfold to reveal an imaginative, three-part universe. They’ll experiment with materials like yarn, polymer clay, torn paper collage, tempera sticks, and acrylic paint to add depth, texture, and layers to their artwork, creating a unique, multi-dimensional piece. This is more than just painting: it's about unlocking hidden worlds, expressing creativity, and revealing the magic that lies beneath the surface! Please read the Art Camp Information document to make camp a success for everyone. What to Bring: A water bottle One to two snacks A lunch Appropriate dress/shoes for outside play. We will take an outside break to stretch our minds and bodies! It helps us be better artists! An open imagination and a spirit of play!
