Annie Jr. the Musical

Roll call! Open to performers of all levels, enroll in our immersive two-week ‘Annie Jr.’ Musical Theater Camp, led by a highly experienced team dedicated to providing individualized attention and expert-level feedback to every participant.

This camp is led by Kelley Zinge, a professional director with nearly 30 years of experience who has produced and directed multiple major school musicals including this year’s All-Academy musical Alice in Wonderland, Shrek, Moana and much more! Ms. Zinge has coached musical theatre performers for over 20 years, holds a BFA in Theatre and an MFA in Screenwriting and TV, and is an accomplished playwright who has written for the children's TV show "Kid Planet."

She's joined by Jack McHugh, SMA’s performing arts department chair orchestrating the music. Mr. McHugh brings a wealth of experience, holding a BA in Music Education from Northwestern University and an MA in Choral Conducting from UCLA. He has seven years of teaching experience and currently performs professionally with the Elus Vocal Ensemble.

During this production, you will also get to work directly with professional choreographer Ammon Swofford leading the group to develop skills and prepare them with agility, routines, and confidence for the performance.

Auditions in mid-to-late May (date TBD) guarantee a role for everyone. The program culminates in two spectacular, fully staged performances on Friday, June 26, when you take the stage!
