Art Garage Summer Camp (Ages 9-12) - AM only

Young artists will explore a wide variety of art materials, learn new techniques, and build confidence through choice-based learning. The camp is led by skilled, local working artists and art facilitators.
June 1-5: Around the World in 5 Days Learn about an artist, art style, or art movement from a different continent each day and try your hands at projects inspired by global greats. June 8-12: Colorful Ceramics Learn new techniques to apply decorative colors, patterns, and textures to your ceramic pieces. June 15-19: Paint Your Pet Create a realistic portrait of your pet or favorite animal while learning drawing and painting techniques. June 22-26: 4th July Parade Camp: Peace love and Parades Make art for our Parade Procession and be invited to be in the parade! Projects will be inspired by the 1960s, from VW buses to tie-die. June 29-July 3: Installation Art Learn about art outside the “normal” walls of a gallery: from interactive and immersive to outdoor installations and art that moves. July 6-10: Make Your Own Stuffie Create soft sculptures by designing and sewing your very own, unique stuffie. July 13-17: Mythical Beasts Create 3D mythical creatures like dragons and unicorns using armatures and paper mache. July 20-24: Stop Motion Animation Make your own stop-motion movie including building sets, making characters, and filming. July 27-31: Digital Design Learn the basics of Procreate and even design 3D objects that will later be printed on our 3D Printer. August 3-7: Pop Art Experiment with using the bold colors, repetition, and popular imagery that define this art movement. August 10-14: Medieval Manuscripts Make your own sculptures and paintings based on Medieval drawings and styles. August 17-21: Surreal World Learn all about the surrealist movement through silhouettes, positive and negative space, patterning, and more.
