Art Garage Summer Camp (Ages 9-12) - PM only

Young artists will explore a wide variety of art materials, learn new techniques, and build confidence through choice-based learning. The camp is led by skilled, local working artists and art facilitators.
June 1-5: Loony for Landscapes Discuss the work of famous landscape artists as you design landscapes from your imagination and learn techniques to capture real-life scenery with style and accuracy. June 8-12: Eco Art Explore new ways to make environmentally focused art and use sustainable materials to create impactful pieces. June 15-19: Wearable Art Your outfit is your art gallery this week as you learn ways to embellish your clothes with painting, printing, dyeing, and more. June 22-26: Muppets and Marionettes Design and build your very own moveable muppets and put on a group puppet show. June 29-July 3: Contemporary Indigenous Artists Indigenous artists are making a big impact on the art world and they'll inspire you to do the same! July 6-10: PrintmakingExplore a variety of printing methods like block printing, collagraphing, gelli, and screen printing. July 13-17: Colorful Coral Reefs Make art inspired by the colors, shapes, and textures of these incredible ecosystems. July 20-24: Sketchbook Practice Learn basic bookbinding to create your own sketchbook and spend the week filling it with drawing prompts. July 27-31: Dazzling Disguises Design and build a variety of incredible masks using everything from cardboard to clay. August 3-7: Artistic Anatomy Take a deep dive into figure drawing as you learn about the human skeleton, study proportions, and practice drawing techniques. August 10-14: That 70's Art Bring back 1970s artforms like macrame, punch needling, velvet painting, and making pet rocks. August 17-21: Big Picture Work together as a class to design and paint a brand new mural for The Art Garage’s front studio.
