Ascent: May 31 – Jun 5

Ascent campers experience a Christ-centered week with plenty of added exhilarating fun. Campers can choose to opt into activity excursions like rock climbing, mountain biking, or arts and crafts and get to spend one night camping out with their cabin. Through counselor discipleship, Bible studies, and unique outdoor experiences, Ascent campers experience a one-of-a-kind week of adventure and growth.

Engaging with Jesus As campers grow and become more familiar with Jesus and the story of the Gospel, we want to begin to prompt them to consider: “What now?” and “What does who God is mean for who I am?” Ascent includes Bible studies, quiet times, worship, and camper rallies that all aim to introduce campers to Jesus and spur them forward in faith. Additionally, each Excursion that the Ascent campers experience will have a spiritual application meant to encourage campers to connect their faith with their everyday lives.

Campers’ Choice During their week at camp, we want campers to have the opportunity to rest and play in ways that they do not have everyday. During their free time, campers have the opportunity to have fun and participate in a long list of activities (including the Zipline, Nuke ‘Em, beach volleyball, laser tag and the blob) with their peers.

Excursion Sign-Up Options on Ascent In addition to Camper’s Choice activities, Ascent campers get to sign up for 3 specialized Excursions that they are most excited to try. These Excursions introduce campers to an activity, provide them with time and guidance to explore the activity, and walk away with a one-of-a-kind experience as well as an encouraged sense of self-courage, self-confidence, and excitement. Mountain Biking OR Wilderness Club Rock Climbing OR Target Sports Team Sports OR Arts & Crafts

New Adventures & Epic Events! The Fireside Campout: Each cabin will get to spend one night camping outside as a special team experience and as a new way to encounter God’s creation. If the weather does not permit overnight camping, campers will still have the opportunity for a unique dinner and evening with their cabin.
