BattleBots® Camp Junior

“Robots, activate!” Enter the arena of the ultimate showdown with BattleBots® and design your own champion. In this introductory robotics course, you’ll build and customize a VEX IQ bot with your teammates. Following design standards set by tech experts at BattleBots®, brainstorm and workshop a unique robot character, such as a battle shark with an attachable fin! Your bot will tackle a variety of challenges, like driving maneuvers in a Simon Says game. At the end of the week, compete in a BattleBots®-style robot tournament where the winner takes all!

Prerequisite: Ability to work in a team. Each student will be provided with an individual computer and will share robotics equipment. In this course, you will: Build a custom robot with VEX IQ hardware Learn how the pros build BattleBots® champions Explore mechanical engineering principles Compete in a BattleBots®-style tournament
