BEAUTIFUL BIRDS & BUGS

Did you know owls eat thier prey whole? or that some bugs, like houseflies, have compound eyes containing many eye units? Explore these questions and more through hands-on science experiments, fun individual and group activities, and engaging games. Together we will dissect owl pellets, try out various “bird beaks” and create compound eye models. We’ll also create bird and bug inspired art projects, explore the outdoors, invent our own insects, hear bird calls, see inside insects through x-rays,learn how adaptations help creatures to survive, experience pollination, try bird and bug movements, and use magnifying lenses to check out specimens close up.
