Cheley Summer Camp

The Cheley Experience is designed with a clear beginning, middle, and end—giving campers the time and space to truly settle in, grow, and connect. Our flagship program is a 27-day traditional overnight summer camp, offered in two sessions: First Term and Second Term. Each session includes eight camp units thoughtfully organized by age, creating close-knit communities within the larger Cheley family. This four-week structure allows campers to unplug, immerse themselves in the Colorado Rockies, form deep friendships, and build new skills. From day one, campers begin forming connections, and we close each term with meaningful reflection and closure activities. Most campers attend for a single term, while some returning campers choose to stay for both.

Campers must be between 9 and 17 years old by the last day of the session they attend. Because camp is built around shared experiences from start to finish, late arrivals and early departures are strongly discouraged, as they can impact both your camper’s experience and the group dynamic. If the dates don’t align with your summer plans, we encourage you to consider switching terms or postponing enrollment. Not sure which unit is the best fit for your camper? Cheley offers a free-choice program, allowing campers to build their own adventure by selecting from a wide range of activities each week. Whether it’s saddling up for a horseback ride, hiking to an alpine lake, testing your skills on the climbing wall, or diving into creative arts, there’s something for everyone. Campers challenge themselves in target sports like archery and riflery, navigate rugged terrain on mountain bikes, and take on technical climbing routes. Some prefer to paddleboard on a glassy reservoir or raft down the Poudre River, while others enjoy woodworking, ceramics, and sewing in the craft shop. No matter the activity, each moment at Cheley is designed to foster growth, connection, and a lifelong love for adventure.
