CREATIVE WRITING

This camp is designed for young authors who are excited to flex their creative muscles as they explore different writing activities. Campers will spend a few hours each day engaged in writing: reading models, responding to prompts, sharing their work with others, and revising what they’ve created. Those activities will be interspersed with games designed to spark creative thinking and develop vocabulary or writing skills, as well as time outside to play and visit the pool. Campers should come with a love of creative expression and the ability to do some self directed writing for extended periods of time. Note: This camp is not intended to make children better at academic writing; it’s not designed for remediation.
