Developing Complex Characters in Fiction: Summer Camp for ages 14-18

Every good story, and every good book, is full of characters who do good things and bad, make mistakes, are stubborn, and maybe little weird. They’re like us, complex people. In this week-long camp for writers of fiction, we’ll explore how to create complex, multilayered characters for any stage of writing process. Writers will be led through a series of activities to help them understand their characters beyond the page and be offered strategies for implementing strong characterization on the page. Open to writers at all levels and at all stages of their fiction. Come ready to make your most memorable characters.
