Farmyard Fun with Jennifer (Week 3)

Get ready for an unforgettable week filled with adventure, exploration, and lots of fun on our sunny Kent Denver campus! Jen will lead campers as they dive into the great outdoors, meet our friendly goats, horses and chickens at the KDS Tiny Farm, and learn about the wonders of nature. Campers will enjoy exciting nature walks and a scavenger hunt filled with colorful flowers, birds, bugs and animals from the Highline Canal! Our young farmers will explore arts and crafts, relax with stories based on fun tales of farms, plants and animals, and discover the importance of taking care of our environment. Movement breaks, barnyard yoga, and plenty of age-appropriate playtime will be spread throughout our day. Get ready for a week of morning community meetings, friendships, laughter, movement, learning, and endless Farmyard Fun at the Farm camp with Jen!

Teacher Bio: Jen Heller has been in education for over 20 years as a teacher and principal. She has also spent many years nannying and babysitting, and is excited to lead an outdoor summer camp focused on the outdoors and barnyard adventures! Jen and her seven year old daughter have five chickens (all hatched in her 1st grade classroom!), a dog, and a cat. All the animals bring lots of joy, and she can’t wait to teach and learn this summer!

Lunch can be purchased through Kent Denver for all classes below 50 in number. Students may bring their own lunch.
