Fired Up! (8 - 12 yrs)

Join us in Clay Hub for a full week of ceramics! Working on both the pottery wheels and learning handbuilding techniques, students will leave with new skills and plenty of functional pottery! We'll spend the first 2 days of camp on the pottery wheels learning the basics of wheel throwing, before moving into 2 days of handbuilding--including altering our wheel thrown work and having time for an independent project. During wheel throwing days, each student will work on their own pottery wheel and at their own level. Beginner or continuing pottery students welcome. We'll finish out the week glazing all our work on Friday. (Please note, new this year, we're moving to a different glazing structure, and will not hold the additional Glaze Class after camp that we have in the past.) POTTERY PICK UP: All pieces will be fired in the kiln after glazing (with dinnerware safe glazes), and ready for pick up 3 weeks after camp ends. You will receive an email when your pottery is ready for pick up.
