Fun & Games Camp '26

In this action-packed week of making and play, campers become game designers, builders, and inventors; creating their very own toys and games, from lifesize outdoor challenges to tabletop arcade machines. Using wood, cardboard, and recycled materials, makers will explore design, construction, and a whole lot of friendly competition.

Here’s what’s on the scoreboard this week:

Ladder Toss Pinball Machines Corn Hole Carnival & Arcade Games

Day 1: Ladder Toss Kick off the week by designing and building your own ladder toss game! Learn basic construction techniques, paint and personalize your setup, and then challenge your fellow campers to see who can rack up the most points.

Day 2: Pinball Machines Get ready to tinker, test, and play! Build your own tabletop pinball machine using wood, cardboard, and creative engineering. Add ramps, bumpers, and targets, then compete for the high score in your custom arcade.

Day 3: Corn Hole Work together to construct and decorate a classic cornhole set. Learn some basic woodworking skills to assemble your own set, stitch your own bean bags, and enjoy some friendly competition outdoors!

Days 4 & 5: The Great Cardboard Carnival It’s Arcade Time! Collaborate with your fellow makers to transform the studio into a full-on cardboard carnival, complete with creative games and colorful designs. We’ll invite the other campers to play, test, and celebrate your creations!

By the end of camp, every maker will head home with a collection of handmade games, new building and design skills, and the pride of saying, “I built it myself and it actually works!”
