Galaxy Getaway

Launch into a week of discovery with Galaxy Getaway, an immersive camp dedicated to exploring the wonders of deep space and astronomy!

You will spend the week in the SMA planetarium using telescopes to investigate celestial bodies and modeling astronomical phenomena. You will master the use of telescopes and other scientific instruments. We’ll tackle mind-bending concepts by exploring vast scales, immense distances, and objects of deep space and distant galaxies. The week ends with a star party where you and your family return to campus in the evening for a viewing of the deep sky and you can show off what you learned.

The camp is designed and led by SMA astronomer, Pete Sniegowski.

$335 per week $50 material fee
