Girls Basketball Half Day AM

Kent Denver's outstanding basketball coaches will join with KDS current and former players to offer a fun-filled and challenging opportunity for campers to learn and improve a variety of basketball skills that will be translated into daily play and games. Concentration will be on individual instruction in both offensive and defensive skills, while developing individual players' enthusiasm for the game. The opportunity to work with a variety of coaches will offer players the chance to enhance specific skills and build individualized learning. No basketball experience is required; all that's needed is a love of the game and a desire to improve skills. No lunch option.
Teacher Bio: Ann is a 2002 graduate of Highlands Ranch High School, where she was a two-time CHSAA 5A girls basketball state champion. During her time at Highlands Ranch, Ann was named the Naismith National Player of the Year and the Gatorade National Player of the Year. She played in the inaugural McDonald’s All-American Game, where she was named Co-MVP. Ann was the second high school player in USA Basketball history to play for the Junior World Championship Team. Ann earned a scholarship to the University of Connecticut, where she guided the program to two NCAA National Championships. During her time at UConn, Ann played in 143 games, starting in 142 of them. Ann was drafted into the WNBA by the Houston Comets. She played 3 seasons in the WNBA for Phoenix, Indiana, and Atlanta as well as three seasons overseas in China, Russia and Spain. Currently, she is enjoying her new role as the Varsity Basketball Coach at Kent Denver and is passionate about continuing a tradition of excellence in academics and athletics. She also loves her role as a Nurse Practitioner for CU Sports Medicine. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband and three kids and traveling the world.
