Jazz, Pom and Cheer Full Day
By Kent Denver School
Get ready to dance, move, and cheer your heart out at our Jazz, Pom, and Cheer Camp! Designed for ages 7–10, this high-energy week will blend the best of dance and cheer — from jazz technique and pom routines to fun stunts and cheers. Campers will warm up, learn choreography, practice basic gymnastics skills, and build teamwork through spirited games and creative movement. Between all the dancing and cheering, young athletes will relax with fun team-building activities and more! By the end of the week, our spirited dancers will show off their new skills in a special performance for families on Friday. Please have campers wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothing that allows for lots of movement. This camp is all about confidence, creativity, and team spirit. Sack lunch option available for purchase at check-out.
Teacher Bios: Emily Hin has been a dancer her entire life. She trained and competed with her mom's dance studio from a young age. In high school she performed and competed with her school’s dance team, helping them win two NDA National Championship titles. She attended Point Park University, where she earned a BFA in Musical Theater with a minor in Dance. She then went on to serve as Dance Captain on four Broadway National Tours and performed as a member of Actors’ Equity for over a decade. Emily currently runs the Dance and Yoga programs at Kent Denver and looks forward to sharing her expertise and passion for movement with camp participants this summer. Jenna Hehemann started cheering when she was in first grade—both competitively and on the sidelines for football and basketball games. She joined Kent Denver's Communications office in October 2023 following a decade working in the broadcast television industry. She anchored, reported and produced for news stations in Missouri, Wisconsin and Colorado. Jenna attributes her on-camera confidence to being a cheerleader and performing in front of crowds for most of her life, and she's excited to share her passion and enthusiasm with campers this summer.
