Little Learners: Little Builders Workshop
By St. Mary's Academy
Time to design, construct, and demolish! You will put on a hard hat and build things all week, and then knock them down and build again. You’ll construct towering structures with blocks, cups, and straws, explore simple machines, and design miniature homes and cities, with the added excitement of an on-site Kinetic Engineers experience hosted by the Children's Museum, where you'll investigate force and motion by working in teams to complete design challenges and build ramps and pathways to observe, ask questions, and test out engineering ideas. You’ll paint and decorate your own wooden creations and get messy with sensory play using ‘concrete’ and ‘sand’.
This camp develops problem-solving skills, fine motor skills, and spatial reasoning through this blend of construction and hands-on kinetic challenges. Imagination meets engineering!
This camp is specially designed and led by our experienced Early Learning teacher, Kim Snyder!
