Oceans, Pirates, Mermaids and Sea Creatures Half Day AM

Aarghhh Maties!! In this weeklong camp, campers will experience our oceans and sea creatures as well as some pirates and mermaid play!! Campers will learn about the layers of our oceans, submersibles, animals that call our oceans home, and all the folklore attached to the amazing history of the sea - from treasure, to pirates and mer-people!! Through crafts, songs, stories and play, students will use our classroom as a “launching off” point for our sea worthy adventures!!
Teacher Bio: Ingrid Shea has been teaching in early childhood education for 14 years. She has taught ages 2-6 in play-based preschool settings as well as in music and theatre settings. She offers private voice and acting/public speaking lessons for ages 8-adult. Ingrid strongly believes in the power of play and the wonderful life lessons that can come from being in the moment! With a degree in music as well as education, she enjoys bringing music into all her work with children. This will be Ingrid’s fourth Summer at Kent Denver, and she has truly enjoyed being a part of building and developing the KDS preschool summer program!

Lunch can be purchased through Kent Denver for all classes below 50 in number. Students may bring their own lunch.
