Polymer Clay Fairy Garden Wall Sconces

School is out and Art is In! Spend your day out of school being creative with us. We’ll make new friends, create beautiful art and spend time playing outside in the gorgeous Colorado sunshine. Step into a world of fairy magic by crafting a handmade wall sconce! Inspired by Phoebe Wahl’s whimsical book Backyard Fairies, students will design their sconces as special retreats for the fairies in their gardens. After reading Backyard Fairies, campers will learn the art of polymer clay, shaping magical designs and charming features to create fairy offerings and light sources. Once the clay is baked, students will bring their creations to life with vibrant acrylic paints, then finish with a glossy Mod Podge coat for a beautiful, polished look. To finish their sconces, campers will add hangers and decorate electric candles, ensuring they are ready to hang and light up the fairy world at home. It’s a magical hands-on experience, perfect for bringing a little extra sparkle to your space! Please read the Art Camp Information document to make camp a success for everyone.
