Ranch TASC
By JCC Denver
(Grades 9 - 10) T.A.S.C. (Teen Adventure and Service Corps) is the ultimate introduction to Ranch Camp’s Tiyulim (Trips) program, where campers embark on an 8 to 10 day adventure that takes them deep into the Colorado wilderness. This transformative experience includes 4 - 6 days of backpacking through the Colorado wilderness, an attempt to summit a 14er, and a thrilling day of whitewater rafting. Designed for campers in grades 9-10, T.A.S.C. challenges participants to learn essential outdoor skills, including preparing and cooking their meals, navigating challenging terrain, and the importance of working as a team.
Along the way, T.A.S.C. campers will engage in meaningful service projects, like partnering with the Colorado 14ers Initiative or completing a project at camp to embody the core value of Tikkun Olam (Healing the World). Whether they’re helping maintain trails or improving camp facilities, T.A.S.C. participants will learn the importance of giving back and making a positive impact on the world around them.
Before venturing out, T.A.S.C. campers spend a few days at Ranch Camp, bonding as a team, preparing for their journey, and participating in key camp programs. Because of their time away from camp, T.A.S.C.ers will likely not participate in programs like Maccabiah or Yom International and may miss evening programs like Gold Rush or Kaleidoscope and may not attend every activity area.
T.A.S.C. is more than an outdoor trip—it's an experience that builds character, leadership, and life-long friendships truly helping teens discover their strength and create the best version of themselves.
