Ropes Facilitator in Training
By Girl Scouts of Colorado
Our Ropes-in-Training (RIT) Program offers campers who have completed CIT1 and are entering 11th grade the opportunity to develop leadership and high adventure course skills in a supportive camp environment. Participants work alongside our Ropes and Zip team to develop skills in team-building, rope/equipment management belaying and risk management while helping younger campers build confidence. CIT1 and RIT may be completed within the same summer if entering grade 11, however CIT1 must be completed first. Applicants must be confident at height and able to lift 50lbs to ensure safety and success in this hands-on learning experience. If a participant does not meet the required skill level, an alternative program will be offered.
