Storybook Playshop
By Kent Denver School
Storybook Playshop is for young campers who love to listen to stories, tell stories, and act them out through various forms of play. Using beloved characters like Elephant and Piggie from Mo Willems’ popular series of books as a springboard into our week of adventure, campers will take playtime to a new level! In Playshop, campers will recreate or make new renditions of stories using dramatic play, craft, and building with materials such as Legos, blocks, and various loose parts. This is the camp for make-believers, divine divas, and star-struck Brunos! Campers will be immersed in literacy each day by bonding with new characters from the latest and greatest children’s books as well as tried and true favorite stories. Campers will have time each day to capture our stories by drawing and making books.
