Come embark on the culinary adventure of a lifetime as our chefs extraordinaire unlock the secrets of baking! In The Art of Baking, bakers will dive into a world of endless possibilities as they explore the diverse array of creative baking techniques, recipes and fabulous completed bakes. Using Kent Denver’s dining room and kitchen, students will explore the fundamentals of baking, from crafting artisanal breads to whipping up delectable cookies and decadent pastries. Each day, budding bakers will not only hone their creative baking skills but also savor the fruits of their labor by returning home with a delightful cookbook filled with recipes from the week's lessons. Through hands-on demonstrations and interactive workshops, students will discover their inner baking prodigy, unleashing their creativity and developing a deep appreciation for the art of baking. Whether you're drawn to the savory or the sweet, this program promises to ignite a passion for baking that will last a lifetime.
Teacher Bio: Art teacher Andréa Crane considers the world her hometown since she’s been traveling all her life. She was born in New Zealand where her father worked for the American Embassy. Mrs. Crane earned her bachelor’s degree in fine art with an emphasis in drawing and an art education licensure from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She also is a trained chef, with an associate's degree in culinary arts from The Culinary Institute of America in New York. Currently, Mrs. Crane teaches art to Lower and Middle School students at Graland Country Day School.

Lunch can be purchased through Kent Denver for all classes below 50 in number. Students may bring their own lunch.
