Tiny Farm Day Camp: Farmer’s Market Fun Full Day
By Kent Denver School
Everyone loves a farmer’s market! This week at the Tiny Farm, campers will learn what it takes to be a real farmer as they harvest fresh produce, flowers, and herbs, and craft handmade soaps, candles and more - all for sale at the KDS Farmers Market friday afternoon! Young farmers will play and work on the Tiny Farm as they meet new friends, explore the wonders of the outdoors and gardening, connect and care for our farm animals, canoe on beautiful ponds, and delve into games galore. Our campers will become stewards of the earth as they experience the natural habitats surrounding the Tiny Farm. During the heat of the day, campers will spend several hours inside discovering stories, art, games, and music. Sack lunch option available for purchase at check-out.
Teacher Bio: Michelle Kingston was a certified veterinary technician and has spent the last five years working in kindergarten and elementary classrooms. This is Michelle’s second year as the Tiny Farm Manager where she enjoys teaching students outside of the classroom about the world around them. She believes the best way to learn about the environment is through hands-on creative activities where children can take ownership of their learning, see the “fruits of their labor” and experience the creative connections of learning through play.
