Welcome to Hogwarts

Welcome First Years to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Inspired by the Harry Potter series, campers will enter the magical Wizarding World right here at Kent Denver! Welcome to Hogwarts is a completely immersive experience full of magical fun! Young witches and wizards will be transported to Hogwarts through creative play, crafts, puzzles, and games! Our Hogwarts students will play Quidditch with Madame Hooch, take a herbology class with Professor Sprout, dabble in potions with Professor Snape and so much more as they stumble into an unexpected magical adventure or two along the way. Hogwarts students will practice magic and learn new skills, as they build their house community, earning house points by working together and fostering friendships. Combining imagination and magic every step of the way, this camp is perfect for introducing younger students to Harry Potter, as well as engaging those who are already on their journey to becoming witches and wizards. Teacher Bio: Miranda Schieving is so excited to be a part of the Kent Denver Summer Arts Program for the third year! Miranda has been acting since a young age as a graduate of Denver School of the Arts’ Theatre Department and holds a BFA in Theater Performance from the University of Evansville. After working as an actor in New York, Miranda moved back to Denver and pursued her passion for education, becoming a 5th grade literacy teacher in Denver Public Schools. Combining her passions for theatre and creating robust, creative, learning experiences for children is a dream for her. Outside of teaching and theatre, Miranda spends her time doing stained glass art, hiking, and relaxing at home with her husband, cat and dog.
