Where the Sidewalk Ends: Poetry and Play Inspired by Shel Silverstein Black Box Production One Week
By Kent Denver School
Shel Silverstein is a beloved cartoonist, poet, children's author, songwriter and musician. His books, which he also illustrated, are celebrated for their unique humor and blend of the serious and silly. For our production, campers will bring some of his best loved poems from Where The Sidewalk Ends to life on stage. Performers will use our imaginations and energy to learn about stagecraft as well as performance techniques and stage presence to work as an ensemble for this special production. Please note that though not all students will receive their part of choice, our casting process works to offer all students lots of stage time and performance experience.
Extra Rehearsal: Saturday, June 13th from 10-11:30 a.m.
