WIT
By Girl Scouts of Colorado
Our Wrangler-in-Training (WIT) Program offers campers who have completed CIT1 and are entering 11th grade the opportunity to develop leadership and horsemanship skills in a supportive camp environment. Participants work alongside our wrangler and barn team to develop skills in horse and barn animal care, tack management, and trail guiding while helping younger campers build confidence in the saddle. CIT1 and WIT may be completed within the same summer if entering 11th grade, however CIT1 must be completed first. Applicants must already have intermediate riding ability and prior horse-handling experience to ensure safety and success in this hands-on learning experience. If a participant does not meet the required skill level, an alternative program will be offered.
