Woodshop Camp '26
By Craftsman & Apprentice
Grab your goggles and get ready to make some sawdust fly! In this hands-on week of woodworking fun, campers will learn the art of building awesome projects from scratch, just like real makers and inventors. Think of it as Shop Class 101, but way more exciting.
Each day brings a brand-new project and a fresh set of skills to master. Kids will learn how to safely use hand tools, plan and measure like pros, cut, drill, sand, and finish their creations to perfection.
Here’s what’s on the workbench:
Day 1: Tool Boxes
Kick things off by building your own toolbox and sanding block, the perfect starter kit for the week ahead.
Day 2: Sailboats
We'll deepen our bandsaw, joinery and assembly skills by designing, cutting, a building a toy boat that floats.
Day 3: Whittling & Woodburning
We'll practice our knife safety skills as we dive into whittling. We'll also test wood-burning to create custom designs and decorations.
Day 4: Take on the Build-a-Stool Challenge!
Use your new measuring and joinery skills to craft your very own stool.
Day 5: Toys that Move
Finish strong with playful creations that move, spin, or connect; your imagination’s the limit!
By the end of camp, your maker will head home with a collection of handcrafted projects, new skills, and the confidence to say, “I built that myself!”
