**Meet your art teacher:** Welcome to the first season of Artful Yard art camps for children at Flower Street Studio! My name is Tara McConnell and I I love connecting with young people in the creative process, and I so enjoy the energy that children bring to the studio as they explore and share their many ideas. I am so excited to open the studio for the 2026 summer season and see this dream come to life with your children. I hold a Colorado state license in art education for grades k-12, an MFA in visual art, and an MA in integrated arts and education. I have taught art in the public schools, art pods for toddlers, private lessons for adults, and I have facilitated several community-based projects in various settings. This summer is full of fun and exciting week-long sessions that each reflect a theme for inspiration and learning.
