Art Garage Summer Camp (Ages 6-8) - AM only

Young artists will explore a wide variety of art materials, learn new techniques, and build confidence through choice-based learning. The camp is led by skilled, local working artists and art facilitators.
June 1-5: Safari Adventures Learn about the natural habitats and behaviors of African animals like lions, giraffes, elephants, hyenas, and hippos while exploring 2D and 3D materials. June 8-12: It's a Piece of Cake From pop art to realistic sculpture, create tasty treats for the eyes with artwork inspired by your favorite food. June 15-19: Bugging Out Bug-out over the variety of adaptations, colors, and textures the insect world has to offer and capture them in your art. June 22-26: 4th of July Parade Camp: Far Out Art Make art for our Parade Procession and be invited to be in the parade! Projects will be inspired by the 1960s, from paisley to musical instruments. June 29-July 3: Robo Art Learn the nuts and bolts of junk art sculpture as you design and build your very own robot friend. July 6-10: Build a Stuffie Workshop Make a new bestie from scratch by designing and sewing your very own, unique, plushy pal. July 13-17: Pocket Monster Training Camp Design and build your very own monsters, create unique trading cards, and even make Pokéballs. July 20-24: Paper Jam Experiment with making paper from pulp, creating paper mache sculptures, origami, and collage. July 27-31: Mixed Up Mythology Add your own twists to classic tales as you turn myths into masterpieces with 2D and 3D media. August 3-7: Strange Creatures Get to know some of Earth’s strangest animals like okapi, blobfish, and axolotl using 2D and 3D media. August 10-14: Art of Ancient Egypt Learn fun facts about ancient Egyptian art and culture through inspired art projects. August 17-21: Silly Surrealism Discover the playful side of surrealist art by using games and prompts to explore the far reaches of your imagination.
