Art Garage Summer Camp (Ages 6-8) - PM only

Young artists will explore a wide variety of art materials, learn new techniques, and build confidence through choice-based learning. The camp is led by skilled, local working artists and art facilitators.
June 1-5: City Art-chitect Imagine, plan, design, and bring to life your very own metropolis through mixed media techniques and construction with recycled materials. June 8-12: Flower Power Study plants and the famous artists who they inspired through botanical illustration and painting. June 15-19: Cardboard Creations Take upcycling to the next level by using cardboard to create sculpture, wall decor, and even wearable art. June 22-26: Imagineers Tinker, problem solve, and play together as you design and build your very own toys, games, and figurines. June 29-July 3: Contemporary Black Artists Celebrate and take inspiration from influential black artists of the last 30 years! July 6-10: Painting with Pattern Learn about how to create patterns and how to use them in your art while experimenting with mixed media techniques. July 13-17: Rainbow Connection Explore color mixing, contrast, the color wheel, and how color can be used symbolically. July 20-24: Intro to Drawing Learn introductory drawing and shading techniques and even make your very own sketchbook. July 27-31: Hi! I Am… Get to know yourself and your classmates by creating masterpieces based on your sparkling personality. August 3-7: Enchanted Art Create our own unique, magical tool kit including wands, hats, spell books, and more. August 10-14: Unique and Functional Ceramics Learn hand-building skills like pinch, coil and slab to create useful ceramics for your home. August 17-21: Ready, Set, Play! Create playable art projects and use elements of play and games to create exciting artwork.
