Make the most of your summer and explore Colorado’s diverse natural environments! Each day of this week-long day camp offers a new experience and setting! Explore Colorado's mountains, creeks, lakes, valleys, and cliffsides, while learning ecology, team building, indoor and outdoor rock-climbing, hiking, wilderness survival, fossils and more! This camp is filled with 35 hours of fun over 5 days. Jr. Mountain Explorers is an incredible opportunity for 1st-3rd graders to explore the outdoors and the beautiful state of Colorado!

Sample Itinerary: Day 1: Wilderness Survival - Introduction 10 Essentials, Leave No Trace Principles, Shelter Building, Fire Building
Day 2: Mountaineering - Basecamp Day Teambuilding, Slacklining, Intro to Rock Climbing (equipment, communication, knot-tying)
Day 3: Outdoor Rock Climbing Safety Checks, Knot Tying, Outdoor Climbing Safety and Etiquette, Climbing Techniques
Day 4: Colorado Ecology Day Stream Ecology, Colorado Mammals, Flora & Fauna, Nature Exploration
Day 5: Colorado Fossil Day Dinosaur Ridge Hiking, Fossil Activities, and Geology
