Sport Science - 4 days
By Colorado State University
The Sports Science Camp conducted in conjunction with the Health and Exercise Science department at CSU, is an opportunity for older campers, ages 9-13, to gain an understanding of the science of movement. Through active programming, we will examine the physiology of muscles and movement; the basic of biomechanics and physics; exercise motivation and psychology; nutrition; cardiovascular fitness, and even neurophysiology. We will mix classroom discussions and demonstrations with physical activities to explore how the body works. This one will exercise both the mind AND the body.
Before Care is from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m., at which time normal drop-off begins. Our staff will transition them to their normal camp.
After Care is from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Campers who are not picked up by 4:30 p.m. will automatically be signed into After Care. If a child is not picked up by the end of After Care at 5:30 p.m., there will be an additional charge of $10 for every 15 minutes after 5:30 p.m.
The additional cost for this care is $7.50 per visit per child. (i.e. if both Before and After Care are used in the same day, the cost is $15 for that day.) Exact payment can be made upon drop-off or pick-up via cash or check, or the charge will be added to your online account the following week for payment via credit card.
Campers should bring a water bottle and sunscreen every day, and a sack lunch Monday–Thursday. Pizza will be provided for lunch on Fridays.
