SPREE School Break Camp: Wild and Winter Ready

Step into the boots of a wildlife biologist to explore the extreme biological adaptations of birds, mammals, and insects along the South Platte River. Campers discover how local creatures shift their behavior, diet, and bodies to survive the Colorado winter. Part of SPREE's fall Thanksgiving-week School Break Camp at Johnson Habitat Park.

Additional Camp Details & Costs
Standard camp hours are 8:00 am–3:30 pm; after-care available 3:30–4:30 pm for an additional $10/day. Campers must be at least 6 years old (K–5th grade). LIT (Leaders in Training) spots available for 6th–8th graders who previously attended SPREE camp at the same $80/day rate. Camp is held outdoors in all weather; dress for the changing Colorado climate. Registration at regpack.com/reg/spreecamp2026. Scholarships available.
