Tiny Farm Day Camp: Our Favorite Animals and More! II
By Kent Denver School
Calling all animal lovers and young farmers! Campers at the Tiny Farm will learn about chickens, goats, miniature horses and explore the world of birds on the beautiful school grounds at Kent Denver School! Campers will play and work on the Tiny Farm as they meet new friends, delve into games galore, and explore the wonders of the outdoors. Students will learn how to maintain vegetable and flower gardens, care for farm animals, create bird crafts stimulated by our natural habitats, canoe on our beautiful ponds, and discover what it means to be a young Colorado farmer. Campers will be inspired to become stewards of the earth as they experience the natural habitats surrounding the Tiny Farm. During the heat of the day, campers will spend several hours inside discovering stories, art, games, and music.
Sack lunch option available for purchase at check-out.
Teacher Bio: Michelle Kingston was a certified veterinary technician and has spent the last five years working in kindergarten and elementary classrooms. This is Michelle’s second year as the Tiny Farm Manager where she enjoys teaching students outside of the classroom about the world around them. She believes the best way to learn about the environment is through hands-on creative activities where children can take ownership of their learning, see the “fruits of their labor” and experience the creative connections of learning through play.
