About:Wild Crescent Forest School is a nature-based, child-led program that supports the whole child through immersive outdoor experiences. Grounded in the forest school philosophy, it centers on exploration, creativity, and supported risk-taking in natural settings like forests and open spaces. Instead of a fixed curriculum, children are encouraged to follow their curiosity, building confidence, resilience, and social-emotional skills through hands-on play. The result is a learning environment that feels both joyful and intentional, where children develop independence and problem-solving skills within a safe and thoughtfully guided structure.
The school is founded and led by CodyAnne Corpening, an experienced educator with a background spanning classrooms, camps, and outdoor programs. With training in elementary education and youth mental health, she brings a balanced approach that combines professional expertise with a deep respect for childhood and nature. Her philosophy is further shaped by learning from Indigenous communities, blending traditional perspectives with modern educational practices.
