Learn to Skate Classes
By Tampa Bay Skating Academy – Oldsmar
Group ice skating instruction for skaters ages 6 and up following the internationally recognized ISI Ice Skating Program. Classes are grouped by ability and progress through levels including Intro I & II, Pre-Alpha, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Freestyle. Each 30-minute lesson with an ISI-certified coach is followed by a 15-minute practice session. Free skate rental included.
Additional Activity Details
Intro to Hockey (45 min at Oldsmar) is available for Pre-Alpha graduates and covers stick handling, passing, and shooting basics. Unlimited public session admission included. Make-up classes available. Progression through levels typically takes 10–30 weeks depending on practice frequency.

Tampa Bay Ice operates three premier ice rink facilities in the Tampa Bay area, serving the community since 1987. The Oldsmar location (TBSA–Oldsmar) offers recreational and competitive ice skating programs including learn-to-skate classes for all skill levels, youth hockey leagues, and figure skating programs. Instruction is provided by ISI and USA Hockey certified coaches serving skaters from age 3 through adult.
