OPAL Musical Theater Program

Students rehearse and perform in full-scale musical theater productions directed by experienced theater professionals. The program covers acting, vocal performance, choreography, staging, costuming, and stage presence, culminating in two public performances per year featuring popular Disney and Dreamworks titles such as Frozen Jr, Alice in Wonderland Jr, and Peter Pan Jr.

Registration is handled through the City of Oldsmar Recreation at oldsmarrec.com. Rehearsals are held at TECO Hall inside the Oldsmar Public Library. Saturday rehearsals typically begin in September as shows approach.
About OPAL Theater
OPAL Theater (Oldsmar Performing Artists League) is a youth community theater program operating with the City of Oldsmar, Florida, producing musical theater shows for over 20 years. Under director Suda Yantiss-Colon and musical director Peggy Winter, students learn acting, vocal, choreography, staging, and costuming while rehearsing for two full productions each year—one in April and one in October—featuring Disney and Dreamworks favorites. Audiences of over 600 guests attend each show, making it a beloved tradition for local families.
