About First Tee – Tampa Bay
First Tee – Tampa Bay is a nonprofit youth development organization and chapter of the national First Tee network, operating as a branch of the Tampa YMCA, that uses golf to teach character and life skills to young people ages 5–18. Officially formed in 1999, the program serves more than 70,000 children annually across Hillsborough County through group golf lessons, on-course play clubs, afterschool programs, and school outreach. Programs are built around The First Tee's Nine Core Values—including honesty, confidence, and perseverance—in a supportive, affordable setting with financial assistance available.
