Swim Lessons

Learn-to-swim lessons for all levels and ages 6 months and older, taught by American Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructors. Offered Monday through Thursday in morning and evening sessions at neighborhood pools and North Shore Aquatic Complex throughout the summer.

Class levels and times vary by location. Summer 2026 sessions: Session 1 June 1-11, Session 2 June 15-25, Session 3 June 29-July 9, Session 4 July 13-23, Session 5 July 27-August 6. Scholarships and fee assistance available (reduced rate $13.65/session with Medicaid or SNAP); must show two forms of ID proving St. Petersburg residency for reduced rate.

The Therapeutic Recreation Division focuses on providing inclusive recreation, leisure, and play opportunities for individuals with physical, intellectual, and developmental disabilities. They offer a variety of programs, activities, and events that create a supportive social environment, allowing participants to explore new hobbies and build friendships within the community.
